Do you cut/style your own hair?

I am off to the hairdressers for a touch up and cut. Its the one splurge I do for me, but was wondering if I any of you cut and color your own hair.

I cut my husbands hair, just shave it off when the fringe gets long! lol But it saves a lot of money.

I trim my hair between haircuts...maybe that's why they call me a cut up.

i do! and i dye my own hair. but im gonna give up dying my hair coz it always goes wrong! =]

but yeah i always cut mine, sometimes i go to the hairdressers but not very often (i dont like it!)

I color my own hair but I do have it cut twice a year. I like the ends to be even. I can't stand long scraggely hair, just cut the broken ends off!

I color my hair myself. Sometimes I get brave and trim my bangs, but I leave the serious cutting to a hairdresser.

No style to my hair. It just grows! I do have some bangs that I trim when they get into my eyes. Other than that, I leave it alone. I trim the ends every 2 or 3 years. I use elastic bands %26amp; hair clips to keep it out of my face. I won't pay to have my hair ruined by a fool who doesn't know what they are doing.*

Can never do the back right on your hair!! Always have to get someone to help. But I have done mine at home a few times. Have to talk the hubby into getting the back.

I don't cut it ....I think that home cuts always look pretty bad. I had to stop my husband from doing it ! But yes, I've been colouring my own hair for about 25 years now. The products are so good, I can't see the point of spending about $40 to get something done , when I can do it myself very well for about $12. About every 3rd time , I get my husband to check around the back part to check I haven't missed any bits ....that's the only difficult section to do properly !

I cut my husband's hair, and my own, and even do my own perms. I've done this since my mother taught me how to put in a perm and cut hair when I was just a teenager, and that was 50 years ago,. Also I am an artist, so cutting hair is really just another medium.

I sometimes cut my hair. I mostly let my dad cut it though.

I curl or straighten my hair.

If I want highlights or dye my hair or put a perm in it, I let my dad do that too.

I don't go to the salons anymore. I've gone to different ones %26amp; they've all...messed up in some way or form. Hey at least if I or my dad messes up we're not losing money.

I cut my dad's %26amp; brother's hair too. Or shave it. My grandma, on my dad's side, use to cut our hair, but not anymore...

I don't color my hair and haven't had a cut for some time, except for the bangs which I can do myself.

I've never dyed my hair %26amp; yes, I'm grey, but I have started trimming it myself. Ihave no one I have to impress.

My hair grows fast, so I save time and money by cutting it myself, at home and don't need to dress for the occasion.

Yes I do . I have long straight brown hair so I color it myself because it's so close to my own color and I refuse to go get a haircut until I decide on a new style !

My hair went into automatic mode years ago and all I have to do is trim the edges. For styling, I use Pledge on a soft cloth!

When I had bangs, I learned to feather them just right in between hair cuts, but that's about it. I never tackled really stying the haircut, because I could see being good on one side, but then awkward on them other, and OMG how do you do the back !

I found a reasonably priced,, easy to get appointments with stylist, and I leave it in her capable hands!

Two of my aunts owned salons, and I was their number one guinea pig.

When my cousin went to beauty school, I let her experiment on me. I think I have had almost every color and cut (no mohawk).

Of course, this is when I was a lot younger, and anything looked good.

Now that I am older, I consider going to have someone else do my hair a luxury. It is great to sit back and have him work his "magic". It should qualify as therapy.

My husband likes me to trim the back of his neck between his haircuts. He won't let me near his beard!

I do indeed cut, perm, %26amp; color my own hair. Once in a while, I'll go to the salon to get my color retouched when I feel like being pampered. While I'm there getting color, she trims my ends, %26amp; shapes up the back layers, as it's hard for me to cut the back of my own hair, but I do try it myself sometimes. After all, I'm a beautician, not a magician.

I use to, but I lost the use of my right arm and my daughter has cut it for 5 years.

I use to cut my husbands hair also and now he goes outside and shaves his head, by himself.
