You should get layers. I don't know that short pixie is right for oval-faced chicks. Layers work for anyone, with any face shape, just about. Getting hair cut all the same length for someone with a oval face is a no-no-just-no.

with an oval face, you can do anything you want...but if you want it shorter, the get layer, tell your hairstylest that you want short layers, and tell her to play with it and see what looks best for you. if you get somebody that has experiance, they will know what they are doing...HAVE FUN!!!!
