I have the same type of hair!! I just have a simple, layered shoulder length hair style. And just yesterday, I got thin bangs, and it looks great! I have gotten complements on it all day long :) here are some pics for you.....

a good style for straight, thin hair would be one that gives it some body, which in this case would be layers. you can do it yourself by putting your hair in a high ponytail and cutting the edges straight across.

since the hair is gathered high on your head, it looks it`s a blunt cut when it`s in the ponytail, but when you take it out you will see the layers, especially in straight hair.

and just a heads up, most volumizing products will dry out your hair.

My description really matches your except my long hair is thick. Anywyas I think there are many hairstyles out there that will fit your hai description. But before you get any hairstyles that I may suggest, it's important to look at the shape of your face. its also really important when getting a hair cut because it determine if the style will suit you or not. Anyways i think that you should also get hairstyle suggestions from your hairdresser because they are the one that will know what type of style will suit you. Anywyas nice haircuts I sugegst you should get are simply front layers beause it will look awesome with straight hair believe me I know. And whats better with this hairdo is obviously side bangs or full bangs. They will look really preety. Seriously I am planning on getting them myself. You can do alot of research on google too so you can find the perfect hair cut style. I also think the layers plus side bangs are great because they will pull your look together. You can wear your hair different ways too like have it in a pony tail, leave it out, curl it loosely. Trust me its the perfect style. if you don't really like that hairstyle you an do a posh cut like its called an angled cut. it also looks really nice.
